More About Me
Before becoming an Educational Psychologist I taught children who were in the foundation phase for five years. During my teaching career I quickly came to the realisation that a child's emotional well-being and learning are closely related. Although I enjoyed teaching, I came to the decision that I would like to help children on a more one to one basis. I wanted to focus on their emotional well-being as well as to try and understand learning ability, and how to assist a child who may be struggling in the classroom. Therefore, I pursued my studies to become an educational psychologist.
I view individuals in a holistic manner where children are part of an interrelated system. Therefore, working closely with the significant people in a child's life (parents/caregivers, teachers, and other therapists) is important.

Young people have always had a special place in my heart and I am so grateful to be in a profession where I get the opportunity to work with young individuals and their families, and hopefully make a positive difference in their lives.
